Canadian Work Permit
A Canadian work permit is a legal document that allows a foreign national to enter and engage in employment inside of Canada. Canadian government issues every year about half a million work permits to temporary foreign workers and jobseekers around the world. One can apply for a Canadian work permit by securing a job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). There are some other categories, where foreign workers can apply for a Canadian work permit without any job offer or LMIA. For example, you don't need a job offer or LMIA if you have recent graduated from a Canadian Designated Learning Institute (DLI), or you are a spouse of someone already having a Canadian work permit or study visa.
