Any Canadian citizen and permanent resident can sponsor his/her spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner for permanent residency (PR) in Canada. The spouse visa offers a great opportunity of family reunification by allowing Canadian citizens or permanent residents to bring their loved ones to live with them in Canada. Each category of spouse visa has its own eligibility criteria and documentation requirements for immigration purposes.
