About Canada Self Employed Visa Program
The Canadian Self-Employed visa program is aimed to attract international entrepreneurs who have relevant experience in cultural activities, athletics or farm management. Applicants must also have the intention and ability to establish a business that will, at a minimum, create employment for themselves. Applicants must also make a significant contribution to cultural activities or athletics or purchase and manage a farm in Canada.
To immigrate to Canada as a self-employed person, one must have relevant experience, be willing and able to be self-employed in Canada, meet the program’s selection criteria and meet medical, security and other conditions. For a self-employed person a minmum two years of experience is required.
This experience must be gained during the period starting 5 years before the day you apply and ending on the day an immigration officer makes a decision on one's application. Following are some important factors to be considered to make a decision on one's self employed visa application;
